This is just a collection of interesting and narrated shots traveling by motorcycle through northern Mexico. They are mostly Keli’s “drive by shootings.”
We decided to get haircuts in Matehuala. As a rule of thumb, you and your stylist should speak the same language. That’s the Spanish / English dictionary in her hand in case you were wondering.
Mexican General Lee. I wanted to slide across the hood but I was afraid the leather chaps would lead me into a spectacular face plant.
What? There are people walking everywhere?
Somebody had a bucket truck and a lot of time on their hands. Trying to find Media Luna.
Still trying to find Media Luna
I love that this guy’s dogs run along under his ? cart.
Check out the nuts on this puppy! Poor fella.
Wild sunflowers everywhere. Heading towards Xilitla.
It’s interesting, over the last couple days we have made the transition from high desert to rain forest. You can see the last stand of the desert here as lush greenery takes over.
Here’s a shot probably less than 200 miles away near Real de Catorce. The change is amazing.
And there hasn’t been a dry moment since. I couldn’t even tell you how high this pass was, but we’re still below the clouds at this point, obviously.
Oh yeah, there we go. It sure looks cold and wet down there.
I wish Keli was driving. My fingers have been numb for the last 70 miles. The roads are windy and gravel / oil covered and it’s obviously wetter down there.
