Google Buzz showed up yesterday and is making quite a stir on the interwebnets. In a lot of ways it seems like having the Google fuzz on your tail with it’s red and blue (and yellow and green) lights flashing every time you do anything that requires an ip address. Now everyone who knows me knows I’ve taken a stance against social networking in general, no twitter, no facebook, no myspace for me. I suppose that my fundamental argument with social network sites in general is that you are creating content and then ultimately signing ownership of it over to someone else the second you hit the submit button (for whatever maniacal purposes they choose, mind you). Google Buzz, at least for my purposes seems to be a quick way to propagate my own content that is still under my control. This I like. I also like that it is another channel through which this blog may freely flow. As it were, I’m going to give Google the benefit of the doubt that they won’t be evil on this one and have a go at it so long as no one blames me when I turn it off and go on the Internet lamb. So, head over to my profile (having trouble with this link – use contact page if it doesn’t work) and follow up on my travelin’ and interwebnet ramblin’ if you like.
