This is now my third trip between Whittier and Cordova Alaska aboard the marine vessel Aurora of the Alaska Marine Highway system. This time I was fortunate enough to get some great photographs from dock to dock that you can see below. In my original post The Alaska Marine Highway System – MV Aurora I go into a bit more detail about the ship’s construction, specifications and route, but here’s a photo story of traveling by way of the Marine highway system.
Your artist’s eye comes through once again… Good luck in Cordova, hopefully you will find your place on a boat out there…
Great shots Brandon. I am curious about your obsession with the fire fighting equipment on board….

Hey fellas, I’m glad you enjoyed the photographs. The fire fighting equipment, yeah. I can’t say for sure, but it certainly was an obsession. While some of them didn’t come out to well I have photos of every fire station accessible on the public part of the vessel. I do have a couple theories. I do like things that are red… My Uncle that we were pretty close with growing up was DC fire department for 30 years and he even had his own classic fire truck, 1948 or so Dodge that he’s pick us up from elementary school in. I even had a police radio so I could listen for my uncle on the fire channels. I have always had a fascination when it comes to making fires as well. I wonder if their are any psychologists that follow my blog? If so, could you use the “Contact Me” section instead of the comments. Thanks Kindly.
